sc400 gets shown up

So I'm running a bit late to class(as always) and I'm manuevering through slower traffic to get onto the highway and hit triple digits and make up for lost time. Well apparently, I got the attention of a nearby lexus driver, as he followed me onto the highway. I got the early jump though, and he never recovered the lost ground until a redlight stopped me a few miles later.
So slow traffic again, we get through it, I take it up to 80ish, and catch a few more green lights, and make it to the entrance of campus, which for some reason was completely backed up, so I knew if I waited in the turning lane, judging by the length of the line, I'd be there for at least 2 lights, possibly 3 (no thank you) I thought as I whipped back out into traffic and pulled up to the red light. Well once again, it seems the SC400, wants to play, so I decide what the hell. I'll run him to the next light, swing a left and go in the back entrance to campus. Well I glance over and he starts reving his v8(I assume, someone correct me if I'm wrong) a bit, so light goes green, he chirps his wheels and has pretty decent hookup and an overall good launch(however, I had AWD, and slipped the clutch at 3500, so I still took the early lead). I have 1/2 to 3/4 car lead. Redline first, redline 2nd, and he is only a car or 2 behind.
3rd I put another car and half in between us.
"Screw this, class can wait" I blow by my turn and keep at it, shifting into 4th. I take it to 115-120, and then slowly brake (magically all traffic seemed to be miles ahead (rarely happens on this road except for 2am).
So I slow, pull a U-turn and head back to class. He does the same and starts following me, he pulls up next to me, and starts tapping the gas, trying to instigate another run, but I shake my head and point to my watch, he nods, and slows and whips in behind me. We get onto campus, and he follows me to where I park. He hops out grinning, and congratulates me. I thank him for a good run and ask what he's got in there. He says a "few little surprises, but nothing big". He returns the question, and I say "a few little surprises, but nothing big"
So I tell him, "my class started 5 mins ago, I gotta get going, but maybe we'll meet up again some time". He says, "yeah, I'm about 25 minutes late to mine...but you gotta prioritize" Me: "haha, you read my mind"

The SC300 (correct me if I'm wrong) is a NA Supra with Lexus badges and a nicer interior.
Anyways, nice kill, and your story is great too. Easy to read and well written.

yup the sc400s are the v8s.....they're called toyota soarers everywhere else besides the U.S. I've been doing a lot of research on on them, because I'm looking to buy one.

It's hard to believe you can carry on a productive life going out of the way to race like that all the time :) Those SC400's are great looking cars especially with clean bodykits, and a 4.0 liter V8 only sweatens the deal. I wonder what the aftermarket is like for those engines?

they aren't soarers in the U.S. , probable just a debadged sc400, or if someone wanted to spend the money they get a real soarer shipped over i guess.
