Heres the deal I have a problem with my blowby on my 87 4.0 L. I have replaced the broken rubber fitting with a new one and put a blow by filter on it but the blow by is too excessive and gets oil everywhere. What can I do or check to fix this prob.???
I just broke 200,000 miles and i recently replaced the valve cover gasket and throughly cleaned the entire cover i replaced the front grommet and checked the rear. the back line has the vacuum pressure. and it leaks all the time and not just in harsh driving conditions.see if anyone can help please and thanks

Did you replace the rear or front grommet on the valve cover ? The front one breaks at the hose but the rear one is usually the culprit and it gets clogged with carbon.

How many miles on that engine? Is it clean under the value cover? Heavy slug buildup on the head will prevent good oil drain back complicating a blowby problem. Are you off roading much. If it's stick how high are you revving her. If the engine is getting a little long in the tooth. It maybe time to replace the motor or use the Cherokee in a less demanding manner

If you have replaced grommets and the lines I would take the valve cover off and give it a good cleaning.
