Alright guys,
So Nisco gave me some good advice on my tib and I took it, just today I had a guy down here put together a custom C.I.A. and I can feel the difference. The car rides smoother and faster and now I'm ready to put in exhaust. One prob, the guy says he can put it a duel greddy evo 2 but I dont see it available for a tiburon. Any other recommendations?

you could get the guy to do a custom exhaust

the Greddy exhaust is a very nice set up, but its a bit loud from what im told, loud as in louder than most other exhausts for the tib... a friend of mine had one on his 6speed.. and it sounded very nice (i couldnt compare it to anything else haha)

Greddy is a good choice tho

How much should/would a custom exhaust cost? No bro, don't have pics up yet but the Cold Air Intake cost me about 180 or so installed and it's nice, chrome and all. It was put in by a great place here in Miami called speedshop.

Nisco,
I spoke to my buddy at Speedshop and he does do custom exhaust but he said that putting in a Greddy would be much better. I got another price quote and they said it would cost me about 450 for a custom exhaust vs putting in the Greddy Evo 2's for 850 bucks. What really is the difference between putting in a custom vs aftermarket exhaust in price and performance. There are two opposing opinions.

wait... you got a quote for the greddy for 850$?
that sounds really friggin high?!?!?!
and that 450 for a custom exhaust is really high too.. get another shop

ok first off Speedshop did a crappy job on my CAI. I'm just to green to the scene to know any better. The pipe is pinching on the radiators hose, it's touching the side of the battery and the air filter was located right in front of the radiator. Yes it did a little more horsepower but wow man, that's ghetto. Today I spoke to Humberto from Dynamic Turbo here in Miami, they will charge me 210 bucks for the actual injen cai and 790 for a dual Greddy evo 2 exhaust with free installation. What do you think Nisco? By the way, how good are the 10 dollar ground wire kits that they have on ebay?

ground wire kits are good.. but do some more research abotu them... i haent looked too into any, but i have heard alota good things about them...

ok about your cai...
it does sound ghetto... haha sorry...

ill give you the email to a guy who has extremely good prices for CAIs and Exhausts, Hes a well known and respectable guy, i trust him and alot of other people do too
so email: [email protected] , and he can get you a really good price on CAI... he usually sells injen CAIs for 199shipped to you, thats a great price!
i knwo i sound liek im advertising... but im jus trying to get you back on track...
he also sells injen exhausts...
his name is kenny and if he asks jus tell him that nisco referred you to him

i got my injen CAI from import performence parts for like $220 that was the cheapest i found it for most other places were $250 and up so that guy defintley has it real cheap. the ground kits are supposed to increase horsepower, throttle response, battery life, improve idle, and reduce interference in the stereo and maybe other things i personaly dont know how well it works i havnt put mine on yet still too damn cold out but i've also heard good things about them

are custom exhuats that much worse then the aftermarket ones?

I wrote the guy that Nisco told me about so we'll see what he says. I bought a grounding kit by KMS for $125 today at Dynamic Turbo. It's supposed to be a great kit. I'm putting it in tomorrow so i'll let ya know the results. I think the thing about custom exhaust is that they are kind of unpredictable especially when it comes to how they will sound. With an aftermarket exhaust it's already expected to sound a certain way time and time again. Performance wise, not sure if there is a significant difference.

OK man, so I put this thing in today and the car definately feels like it has more pep. Aside from that it adds a nice look under the hood. This particular kit had purple wiring and all gold plated parts and this disk that attached directly to the battery that held all the connecting ends. I would definately give the grounding kit my stamp of approval.

Nisco,
I contacted your friend about the CAI for 199 and he wrote back but told me to contact him on the forum and I typed in what I thought was his username but it has no match. Can you tell me how to find him on here?
