Hey guy's I'm new to car modding, and would like to get a little more
pep out of my new civic, and would like to get some low cost ideas
say with in the $200 - $500 area, and something that would be a
easy bolt on for a newb, I was thinking of cold air intake, or something
like that, does any one have any other suggestions.

Also later on I wold like to eventually get a turbo for my car, and was
wondering if this is possible, and what would need to be done to get
the car in the 200hp area, or is that even possible??

Thanks for the help :)

sure its possible, with the money anything is possible. there is one guy who has 520hp in his 7thgen. check out www.dezodmotorsports.com they sell a great turbo kit for the d17 engine and posted some dyno stats. i have a 7thgen civic as well and ive found that i love the site www.7thgencivic.com more info there than i could ever imagine and its only about our model car. check it out. they also have reviews for different parts. the d17 doesnt respond to well to bolt-ons though. everyone seems to like the k&n fipk2 short ram intake(sri) or the aem sri. cold air intakes(cai) are alright but if your looking for more throttle response i say go with an sri. also try tightening the throttle cable so that you have a better response from the pedal, i did it and it made it alot more fun to drive. they have a diy on 7thgencivic.com hope this helps some
