Granted this has been gone over a million times and a search would yeild about half the threads that are on this site, I will still help you because, well I'm not sure. Anyway, Yes you can do that. It's not cheap. You don't need an engine swap. It will coast about more then it's worth when you considering just buying a car that is stock turbo. You can buy it at Hahn Racecraft. As for exhuast, who tf knows. anywhere.

yeah its possible.. Speed is never cheap. Your either gonna pay for a gst or pay to turbo a gs.
If you buy a kit form hahn or star you looking at I think around 3 grand if you want it intercooled.
If you have any car wits at all you can piece a kit together easily. And it will be much cheaper. To piece together a good quality kit your looking at anywere from under a 1000 to the sky is the limit. It all depends on what you want.
Im not gonna get into components and what they should cost because well, there is a sticky thread that would tell you everything I just told you and all that. Its called Turboing a Rs/Gs/Esi or something to that sort. I suggest reading it. peace

There is a lengthy writeup on this in the FAQ at the top of the main forum. It is right near the bottom of the page. Most people would say that it is not worth it and to just buy a GST or GSX

Yeah but allll and I mean alllll GST are frikin forced and the engines are half way dead. Now a RS, i mean no one drives and pushes a Rs to the max. engine in very good condition. I had a friend wanted to buy a GST. He asks the guy , u know how did he drive it and all and the guy says ooohhh I never went over 70mph and you know it doesnt matter i drive a 280 horsepower , wide body kit , 3 inch exhaust with frikin almost everything on it the market can sell. I mean look at it from your own prospective, if u drive a car that powerful are u gonna drive like a slow ass retard ??? Or will u show off and race other cars ??

^i don't know ask old people that. And As for the rs, I do. and if you try to turbo a rs/gs, your engine will be dead if you don't upgrade it.

Type normally, or expect your question that has been asked 100,003,234,243 times before to not get any serious responses.
I'm glad you know about "alllllll" the "GST" ( :uhoh: ) being "half way dead". Thanks for diagnosing my beat on, 120k, 160 across the board motor, idiot.

boost doesn't kill the 420a.........Stupid people running too much boost kills the 420a. in other words if your dumb enough to put the damn hairdryer on your car that has 150,000+ miles without doing something to combat the inevitable demise to the top of your motor "and your ageing main bearings" then, you deserve to be on foot. That being said any motor has potential,..... to the extent of your wallet.

one thing noone else will probably mention is CRANKLOCK. that is the main thing you have to watch out for. The 2nd gen 420A are notorious for it.I actually had to rebuild one and it sucked. what happens is you'll just be driving and if you dont check your oil on a regular basis then you will spin the main-barring and have to rbuild the whole bottom end and get a new turbo because it floods the oil regulator for the turbo and it all goes to hell after that. But yes it will be very costly.
