2005 New Mustang vs 2004 Cavalier

I know I wasn't In my civic at the time but this story is the freakin BOMB. This happened about a Month ago on a saturday night.

THE STORY.....
So my friend and I were heading twords some midnight street racing. I was in my 2004 chevy cavalier. So we are Driving on 294 towards Chicago when The stoplight in front of me turns red. I see some tailight about 500 feet in front of me and my friend Amanda and I just look at each other. We were like NO freakin way a 2005 Mustang. It was the V6 Model. As I coast to the red Light I reved my engine (ROAR my cavy sounds like a V8 beast due to my exhaust. Then the Mustang Reved back (Hell yeah it was on Like FLies on SHiznatt.) The Turning light for the other cars turned yellow and I quickly glanced around for Cops (none in sight. Then I heard the Mustang take off. AHH Crap I was looking for Cops. On reflex a split second later I took off and peeled through to 5000 rpm's I took it to redline and Slammed into second The Mustang has 2 cars on me CRAP. Midway through 3rd the Mustang is getting closer. THATS right Im pulling on them. I Slam into 3rd. We are up to 60 or so I gained a car and am pulling harder. Then they hit the breaks !!!!!!!!! BASTARDS!!!!!!! It was weo chicks in that car

I was so pissd I did not have my nitrous tank filled at the time. It made me go and fill her up. I am now prepared to destoy all 05 V6 stangs
that come in my path. I still hit myself in the head for not paying attention to the Light. Live and learn. Dont take unnecessary chances.
Street racing is Illegal and I do not recommend doing it becuase your car can become impounded and you will have a record.

lol i heard the 05 mustangs v6 is slow. The GT is pretty quik 0-60 5.5. I had a race of my own today against the new 05 jetta GLI turbo. The first race was from a roll and when i hit it i relized that my car was running out of gas so i couldnt race. So then we went to the gas station and waited for me and we raced from a stop and killed him. I dont know if he gave up or what but he was way back there. Then we get to the next light and he wants to try again and same turn out. lol i really hope he wasnt trying his hardest. O well maybe next time.

Theres no such thing as a Honda Tiburon. And what SS Camaro? Please don't think you're going to tell us you beat an LS1 camaro on slicks.

The new 05 GT mustang runs high 13s. Sometimes mid 13s. Depending on driver skill/track prep.

BTW: 05 V6s are like..15 second cars dude. :loser:

Yeah well The camaro SS was slower than I thought It ran a 15 flat when I ran a 14 flat. The laughted ahead of me and I just pulled Like a monster past him. The guy had a helmet and everything. it was an olld school orange muscle car but some kid was driving it. I saw the SS symbol on the side of the car.

Also my cavalier runs 15's without nitrous the only mods it has is intake exhaust and weight reduction. I did pull on the Mustang. They are not as fast as everyone thinks.

Oh and the Tiburon is Hyundai. When I type fast I have to look at the keyboard and not the scrren. I do not proofread. But I will start. Where can I post my trackslips? I want to show that im not lieing. I do not have webspace to post pictures though?

Anyways I did not say i beat the Mustang. It got a head start and I pulled on it. It did beat me just a cool race.

damn it shut up and quit giving cavalier drivers a bad name. Jesus your car is good for a low 16 high 15 second 1320 at best. The new V6 Mustangs are good for a low to mid 15 second pass.

Shit the thread grew fast. He doesnt own a Z24, he owns just an ecotec. The Z24 was built on the Quad 4 LD9 engine, orignally designed towards racing. The bottom ends on the Ld9 are almost bullet proof. The Ld9 or Z24 engine makes 150HP and 155lbs TQ, the ecotec makes 140HP and 150lbs of TQ. The Z24 with a stick and a decent driver can make a mid 15 second pass easily. The ecotec is a high 15 second with a good driver.

In other words, he doesnt have a Z24, he has an Ecotec and
LD9 Owns crappy aluminum head ecotec.

Took my wife's Skyline GXi into the Nismo factory workshop across the street, had them fit a NOS sticker, and when I slipped it into drive at 300rpm, it smoked all four tires, leapt 4 feet in the air, sodomised the neighbors cat ,ran a straight 1/4 mile to the 7/11,bought me a cappucino and made a high speed pass over the roof of the cop shop before delivering my coffee inside 14 seconds.

Good stuff that NOS.Next week I'm replacing the rear muffler with 6 Turbonators,superglued together......210 extra HP! W00T!

Their are people on their who have fit the Gm 3800 S/C motor into a cavalier. MY cavalier will be a 13 second car very soon if not by the end of summer. The guy with the 12 second run is building a race car out of his cavalier. So i take it you dont take me serious then? You think im a liar? Cause im a member of jbody.org and the only reason i have my car the way it is, is because of them.

I think you guys are getting away from the point and no one is calling you a liar Jayson. The point is how many members does jbody.org have? and those are the absolute fastest cars they have right?. Now what do you think the odds are that this guy is not only right with the absolute best that your model has to offer but also found a SS LS1 with slicks that was running 15's that he was "pulling like a monster on". I wanted new times. :( And SRT-4s are actually high 13s/low 14s. Not low 14s/mid 14s. And unless your blower pulley is adding some serious power..I don't think you'll be seeing 13s. You run high 14s now, right? I don't know if you'll be able to shave a whole second with just a pulley...
