yea its a wix. the filter cost alot so it better be good. hastings was supposed to be better then wix though. atleast i still have a hastings in my tranny. when i bought the truck it had a fram on it. that might be where the problems started. i also had to add a quart of oil in to the truck. the oil cooler lines are leaking. not bad enogh to leave spots but once a month means one quart of oil. when it gets warmer i'll change them out.

You engine is burning the oil.

If the oil cooler lines are the fault, they will leave drops on the drive way.

What? He said the lines are barely leaking and are not the source of a quart a month oil consumption habit.

Oil consumption like this could mean he has to change the PCV valve and clean the PCV system hoses that could be sludged up.

i know the engine isn't burning oil. and the PVC valve was changed on last tune up. just a few months ago.the oil lines are leaking but they don't leave spots. if you look at them you can see drips on them and all around the frame and moter is covered in oil. its only been loseing a quart a monthsince its really cold. other wise it might be 1/2 a quart a month. like i said it hasn't been leaking a long time so its filling in the dryspots. there are oil drips on the plastic skid plate also so it must drip while its being driven.
