so its a 1996 with the 2.2l engine.
problem was/is overheating
already have fixed/replaced
head gasket
water pump
thermostat
plugs
flushed radiator/coolant
flushed block and heater core?
when engine is off i am able to flow hose water through entire system
i cannot get coolant to flow... the upper radiator hose ( the big one) never has pressure and there seems to be air in the system. I can't figure out why the air is there... car seems it would run cool if i had a hose running through it all the time, unluckily i can't do that...
the temperature in the car isn't as bad as it was before? still running kinda hot but not in the red zone
there is smoke coming from the radiator after it gets warm
after i turn the car off, if i open the coolant resevoir air bubbles up from the system and all of the fluid in the resevoir immediately rushes out of the system... at times bubbling over top of the tank... i can't remember if that was with car running or not
the low coolant light is STILL ON in the car
ANY ADVICE GUYS?? thanks!

Do you know how to properly burp your system to get the air out?. Also could be a leak or damage to your radiator. If there is smoke most likely you have a leak. Try and find the source. Good Luck.

Smoke and bubbles means a bad head gasket. I see you have replaced that so you may have a warped head or a small crack in the head. Check your cylinders for coolant and do a pressure check to help locat the issue. Good Luck.

sounds like you got a cracked head. just give it away or replace that whole damn engine. it's asier than trying to just fix the head

I guess that would do it. But seriously, the whole engine :screwy: It isn't that hard to replace a head. He has already done it once, he will be twice as fast this time.
