Hi,
I am the unfortunate owner of a 2001 Infiniti QX4 Lemon. Already 40 days of warranty repair. Defective body joint weld. Numerous other problems.

In December Nissan told me they were considering a buyback because of all of my problems. Without looking at my vehicle again, they now say I have no problems.

I have a 87 Pathfinder that although is a good running car, presently I have a tranny problem, I don't have much regard for the dealership near my house as they diagnosed many problems wrong and not only that, charged me an arm and a leg for something that didn't even fix the problem. Their out was, "We think that's what it was". Even lowly Pep Boys would come out front and say "We don't know if that'll fix the problem but all we can do is throw parts at it till it's fixed". Once when I started the car and revved the motor, the head lights would go really bright and blow then the fuses would go. The heater motor also sounded like a supercharger when you turned it on. It was rush hour and I needed to get the car going so told the dealership to check and they said it was a bad alternator, okay 180,000 miles so maybe their right. Next morning same problem, blow out two more fuses and on headlight. While I'm in the dealership service entrance I start checking around and find a loose factory PLASTIC CLIP that connects the alternator charging wire to the battery and when I wiggled it around the lights would flicker off and on. Their mechanic says I have to purchase an entire wiring harness for the engine bay. Two electrical connectors and some solder fixed it for pennies. Dealership pirates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll never buy another Nissan again, this is my second. My reason is their parts are engineered where you have to buy that exact part as their sizes and shapes are really strange, like hoses with two different size ends on them, I don't think their engineers know of Pascal's law or they are just trying to make a buck off your problems.
