Should I switch or stay

My dad was recently given an old Rockford amp. It a 2-channel 60x rated at 30 watts rms. So he wants to use it on my moms car and we have this catalog were they can get things on credit. But our only choices are either some Jensen or MTX subs. So we are getting the MTX subs which are the Thunder4000A 12", 50-200 watt rms . Also we are getting a 4-channel MTX Road Thunder RT404 amp for the speakers on the car. My question is should I give my mom my Xplod 12" P5s and take the other ones or should I just stick with mine? Also should I give her my 4-channel Crunch amp and take the MTX amp? The Crunch is a 300 watt peak, i don't know the rms, but the MTX is 400 watt max with 37.5 watt rms. If I should then what would be the main difference between the amp and the subs. Thanks a lot for your help. I really hope I can learn how to figure this out for myself someday. If there is anything else you need to know please tell me. Thanks again.

Crunch isn't as bad as pyle/lagacy/pyramid.....it's maxxsonics lowest brand, but MTX is definately better.

Dont buy roadthunder from mtx its pretty much crap imo. Good amps at good price profile.

He speaks the truth!...
I'd never touch crunch...
Budget brands: Profile, US acoustics, Lanzar, Power Acoustik.

US Acoustics have some real nice amps for decent prices and i think they rate everything at 12v not 14.4v not sure but from what i can remember. Ive neer used lanzar but i look to see if i can get one and see how it sounds profile i can say is probably one of the best you can get for a good price. Ive had to many problems with power acoustik in general subs or speakers arent worth the time but the amps i have heard did sound pretty good as long as it isnt sony, pioneer(in most cases), jensen, pyramid, pyle, legacy, or some amp from walmart you should be fine.

Last time i looked at a crutchfield (over priced bastards) the US Acoustics was rated at 12.9 volts not 14.4v. Like i said it was from what i could remember i wasnt sure.
