Bose stereo cuts in and out

I have a 95 aurora and everything is working fine except the stereo. It cust in and out, and only one speaker works at a time. Ex: the front passenger speaker will work and then it will cut out and on the it doesnt but the rear driver will. I think it is something electrical or maybe a loose connection because the speakers obviously work, just something else coming into play. Has anyone else had this problem?

Does the entire radio shut off or just the speaker output? If it is just the speaker output check to see if you have broken wires in the door jam boot in one of your front doors. One channel of the stereo shorting out will like cause other channels to crap out as well. Broken wires in the door jams are a common problem with your vintage of Aurora.

Is that true for a 97 too?

You are correct, just the speakers cut in and out... the stereo stays on... I will give it a look and let you know what I find. Thanks!
