My friend is selling his '91 Turbo Talon FWD for $700. He is my good friend and he's had it for a while with no problems. His brother is also the one that I sold my AWD to. Funny huh?

I drove it, and the bitch runs perfect and plus him and his brother work on these things, so they will always help me if it breaks. The exterior is in mint condition. (cept for the fading of paint) He just wants to sell it fast 'cause he's got 2 other cars, and he wants to have some cash for a down payment on a bike.

Think I should get it? I think it's worth it hell...

I would put the $700 in your CRX if you have the money. Do some bodywork with it.

I wish I lived near an college the does body work. Having a second car is always good, especially when your main one goes on down time (they always do, theres not avoiding it). I personally have a second car, but its just a plie of shit Lebaron...

If it's missing gears, than it's going to be rather expensive.

i highly doubt hes talking about missing gears, he's refering to it missing when firing. which means, new cap, rotor, wires and maybe plugs

lol missing gears, thats a driver problem. When people say missing theyre talking about a misfire with the ignition.

I just bought a 96 GS a month ago and it started doing the same thing. Bought some MSD plug wires and it runs oh so smooth.

Yea, I meant missing like ignition.

He said that they are known for that, the wires are real touchy, he said he never had that problem and he also never replaced the wires.

It was cold and rainy all day here so I couldn't work on it damnit. That's probably all it is though. I can't wait to get it running again lol!

Yea that's what I'm afraid of, but it won't happen.

I fixed the studdering, replaced plugs, and did the valve cover gasket while I was at it. 3 of the 12 valve cover bolts are stripped out all in one corner. Lovely.

So anyway, it doesn't seem to leak oil anywhere yet, so I fixed one thing. Now my friend that has a couple of these cars (the guy I bought it from) said that if I want my BOV to be louder, to increase the size of the vacuum hose inbetween the BOV and the Intake manifold.

So I did. Now it Misses like in higher rpm's. Kinda like fuel cutoff. I think it's boosting too much or something, like spikes I guess. Hell I donno! It's a DSM! I gotta wait till the morning to figure out what it's doing, but if I don't get on it all the way everything is fine.

Edit: OT but what %tint is on your crx quix? I'm getting mine tinted next week and I want it to be as dark as yours looks.

Yea I know they're more a pain in the ass then my honda but oh well, experience is experience. Well I gapped them(I think). When someone says they should be gapped 25-28 does he mean .025-.028? I didn't realize there was metric and standard gap sizes. 'cause I gapped em at .025 and it still sputters at about 5 grand. I guess I'm just gonna replace the wires, they look pretty nasty anyway.

I think its metric I believe. Yeah get rid of those nasty plug wires. There was a interesting post on DSM tuners about plug wires. They tested like a bunch and the MSD's ended up being the best.
