Completed GT40 Street Version

This is the street version from Fujimi built OOB. Painted with Tamiya Gloss Aluminum, cleared and polished. I chose to keep it simple looking without the center body stripe and only used the blue Ford stripes under the doors. It's not really a true street version of the car but it's a close rendition of what one would look like.

Nice work! Glad to see how you did the rivets, and glad to see someone paid attention to painting the top of the inner door panels body color...most people miss that detail.

Beautiful!! Did the wheels come with it or are those the Fujimi wire wheels?

Thanks everybody for the nice words.

Tonioseven, the wheels came with the kit. They're two piece with front and back spokes. Really nice set of wheels.

Eric,
Beautiful build! Did you get a good discount for buying in bulk? How many more GT40's do you have?

Thanks Rob...

I think I'm the reason Fujimi made all the different versions of the GT40, I have about 14 more to build...... lol, someday I'll get around to it.

Nice work. I like the subtle silver color choice. It looks like what it's supposed to look like.

Great build-up but wickedly inaccurate. I mean, dear god, did anyone at Fujimi LOOK at a GT40 MkIII?

Still, nicely done, but damn Fujimi didn't even try to make that kit look like the radically different road GT40 (MkIII) bodywork.

Sensational cars, always have a special place in my heart for gt40's the shape is timeless.

Fujimi actually refers to this kit as a Mk.I "street version" it's nothing like a street version. The kit is the exact same as their race kits without race decals and it has wire wheels...

I Would love to have a kit of a true MkIII street version
