Mustangs just cant cut it

Hey I am a proud owner of a 98 GTP, but recently i have been workign on a 91 Mustang 5.0 Notchback w/ 93 motor and drivetrain... it has, bbk cai, headers, off road hpipe, underdrive pulleys, springs, pro products 70mm tb and EGR Spacer, msd ign, ac delete, magnaflow exh, comp cams camshaft, superchips chip, subframe connectors, rear tower strut bar, march p/s pulley, b&m short shifter, clutchmaster racing clutch...........haha lots of mods right.... well i want everyone in here to know that i raced my dad (he was in my gtp and i wa sin stang) and the gtp WON!!, its not that im suprised that a gtp beat a stang, happens all the time, jst with all the mods the stang has , and all my gtp has is a k&N filter, borla catback, ubend delete, 3.4 pulley and its a 4 door!!! haha, it was a proud moment to be a gtp owner.. always is....

My wife and I were sitting at a stop light one Saturday afternoon. There was a young guy in his 95ish Mustang GT convertibe sitting next to us. He revved,I looked over. We both grinned and since we were the only two cars in sight we decided to give it a go.

It wasn't even close. I actually got out of it after the first 500 feet because I was worried about getting a ticket and then decided to keep going.

We pulled over in a church parking lot and he was like, "WTF have you done to that thing?" I told that I hadn'tdone anything. He smiled and said,"Whatever, I raced a GTP yesterday and it didn't whine like yours."

Fun stuff.

ahah i love beating people that think there car is hot shit... the guy must of raced a GT or SE before you because GTPs all have a whine to them, he would have mabey still lost to a GT haha

I think he was referring to the fact that my supercharger is much louder with a CAI than a GTP with factory air box would be.

Love that whine! I love beating mustangs, almost as much as the look they give the car when the hear the s/c kick in!!

I think ford should have retireed the mustang name after the shelby came out cause lets face it they are little ponies now-a-days. just not impressed with them not that I ever was being a gm man.

Last week my buddy refused to race me in his 01 that he just got. I thought it was pretty funny.

You know. I gave up on the GT's. I have found only one Cobra that would run. Had him by about a car, when I seen the cop, and got off of it. The thing about the Mustang, they love to lite up the tires. As soon as that happens, they lost.
BUT, I think they are the sweetest sounding car on the road. I can listen to them all day.
But they should keep running of Fords.

mustangs really really cant hang with grand prix's...i dont know what it is? anyways...i was out and about by myself one day, and i drive with a heavy foot...a lot!! i seen a 01 stang gt...you know, the typical prick driving with 260 hp..and i am putting around in my bone stock gt...not a gtp mind you, and he has full free flowing exhaust and an attitude to boot. were both at a light...and green. we are off....and i smoke the crap out of this guy!!!! i was wonderin...why in the hell did i beat him?> oh yeah, ford sucks my sack!!! then a few days later...with my WIFE driving and another gt...the 4.6 variety, she spanked the guy by three car lenghts. that guy didnt know how to drive i do believe...anyways, just to prove that fwd does kick some ass!!!! now, if i had 4000 bucks to drop on the cartuning turbo for the 3800.....700whp!! and bout the same for tq!!!!

turbo would be nuts on a GP... i seen a gtp with a turbo.. yes s/c and turbo,, was fucked up lol. anyways if anyone wants cheap power for their gtp, i highly recomend a smaller s/c pulley. it makes such a difference. i got a 3.4 pulley boys it only cost me about 60bucks plus 20 for a gback belt. it knocks bout a second off 1/4 time. wen u do this u might wanna consider a u bend delete, it is very restrictive down there, so just throw a lil straight pipe on with a o2 scab to get shit flowing..

I don't have a GTP but I just had to tell you all about this. I have an 01 SE. Nothin special right? Well, aparently there is a teenager out there that thinks just because the Grand Am SE is a 4 cyl, that the prix is too. We were at a stop light, he looked over at my car, looked up and when the light turned green, he stomped the gas. Now this is in the middle of town. I looked around...no cops. Let him go for about 3 car lengths. Then just put her to the floor. OOPS, caught him and passed him in like 5 sec. I just looked at him and shook my head. Damn kids. It was a rusty old chevy corsica. Duh? Did he really think he could take me with that? I don't race what I can't beat, but I just had to go on that one.

I went to go pick a buddy up from work with two other friends late on night and found some kid with a 01' GT Rustang. One of my friends is in love with my car and is always sending me a bunch vid clips and that and he saw one of a GTP dominating a mustang in same situation we were in. Friend that thought the mustangs were fast told me "there is no way you could beat that!" I grinned and took off and at first the mustang was pulling away from me, then my tires fianlly gripped...

Needless to say after racing him between lights at 3 different areas in town from a dead complete stop I beat him all 3 times. Further down the street I and the other mustang found another mustang and they were just cruising revving their engines, and damn they do sound sweet. At the next light I had them both on my left side, tried to get the new one to race me and the other guy told him "don't do it he will just use his nos like a wuss". Me and buddy busted up laughing because he thought that because I beat him I had to be useing Nos. I just say that he is a sore looser because he lost to a 4 door family coupe with his sports car.

i like seeing other grand prixs run shit too, those SE's and GT's with n/a v6's still fly good 200hp if im not mistakin, thats more then a lot or cars can say they have. the thing about grand prixs thats makes them so special is because they r a practical affordable family car... that will fuck up many many cars.. and it is deffinatly the underdog.. it only wieghs about 3400-3500 lbs which if im not mistakin is lighter then my 5.0L mustang..

i love GTP's, there is only one car i would sell mine for... 98-02 Trans Am WS6 Ram Air, black, t-top, 6-speed. that is my ultimate dream car..

Ditto with the Trans am here. Cept i really wouldn't mind the 02 collector. As my friend says, that would be focking hawt!
