No Heat

i checked the thermostat n thats fine...the temp gauge looks normal to me is the heater core the only thing left? and my defroster isnt workin the air just comes out the vents no matter what any pointers on that? thanks

It's your heater core bro.

Is there air blowing out the vents that blow on the windsheild? If not then I would start looking at the blower assembly to see if any of the flaps are broken or not working. By the way if you are going to go through the trouble of pulling that unit out you might as well replace the heater core, it will save you some work later down the road. :2cents:
