Sorry I am posting this before I hit bed and didn't wanna search. I have a b16a teg jdm motor, i want to build a b16 for my car but i was wondering about the 99-00 si motors, will they be easier to swap more compatable? I guess i am just worried about putting an older motor gen motor into my car and not getting the power of a 99-00 even though they have the same power. If anyone can explain how they are different and whats maybe the swap ease, please do. Thanks a bunch guys, night all!

Wait, do you have the Civic SiRII, SiR, or the Integra XSi engine? If it's the SiRII motor then you'll have 10 more hp than the '99-'00 Si motor (170hp vs. 160hp). So I'd say go with that, especially since you already have it. But it depends on if your state allows that. There are some states that require you to have an engine that is the same year as the body or newer. So in that case, go with the '99-'00 engine.

So many people are picky with B16 motors. I personally will build anyone that will falls in my hands.

I have the b16a 1 series, i believe its the XSi not sir or sir ii, anyways i don't think there are any state laws for that in kansas so i will just go with what i got. Thanks guys.

Also what does anyone have to say about hmotorsonline.com? Thier motors are pretty cheap price wise, i was just wondering, because all i have is a block and crank, for the work it might be worth it to just buy a sir ii or something from this website i am looking at about 2 grand for my engine and this is the only place that is that low.

It also says that the XSi comes with a cable tranny vs the sir ii coming with a hydraulic. Driving wise is it gonna be any different?
