Any GM tranny (Muncie or Saginaw) from the late 60's to early 70's will work. You will have to get a bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, shifter, clutch linkage setup (from OPG, or musclecarparts.com) as well as the tranny. Expect to fork over some $$$ but I am doing the same thing now on my 71 Chevelle and found my best prices on ebay. Good luck and happy shifting!!!

Thanks for the info. Are the trannys hard to find, still not sure if this is going to be better.

why was the thread named leaky tranny? And if your going to replace it i would go with a muncie 4-speed.
