rear end gears

i just bought a rear end from a guy who said it was 373 but im almost 100 percent sure its not....its a 9 bolt does any one have any clue where i can get ring and pinion gears???/

no, but if you open it up and count the number of teeth on the ring and pinion, the ring should have 3.7 teeth for every tooth on the pinion. that's how you find out.

if you dont want that 9 bolt you can always send it to me for my birthday present :)
Not sure weather or not they offer 3.73 gears for the 9 bolt rear. but you can find all the parts you need, and alot of info from www.9bolt.com. This guy is the one stop source for 9 bolt rear parts and will be able to sell you probly just about anything youll need. If im not mistaken the only gears ive ever seen for this rear end are 2.77, 3.27, 3.45, and 4.10 only the first three were factory equipped. but there could be some aftermarket offerings i dont know about.

aight i found out that the gears are 2.77 so this rear end is mainly useless unless ui can find a carrier for it...if anyone has any suggestions let me know

ive seen a few three serise carriers and gears on ebay, but that website is the best place i know of.

i just bought a series three carrier with 327 gears for 75 dollars...i had it checked out when i got it anmd the guy said was was in great condition...so im all set wit that now....again thanks for the help

Don't forget if you have altered the original stock tire/wheel height it will change the final drive ratio. Smaller diameter= lower ratio.http://www.emotipad.com/newemoticons/Skating.gif
