Im a newb, no doubt about it. When it comes to changing seats, gauges, door panels, carpets I can do it. But I wouldnt touch anything in the engine, expect the intake.
Is their a turbo kit for the spyder, that I would just be able to order it and take it to a mechanic. Meaning it comes with everything you need. Thankyou for you're help. If you have any direct links and any estimates ill appericiate that as well.

hmm, i think the spyder GS came with a 2.4L SOHC...never seen that turbod before. kind of shitty it's only SOHC. not sure if there is a turbo kit for it. i would imagine if there was a kit that came with everything you needed like the turbo, piping, bov, intercooler, etc etc then you probably wouldn't be pushing very much boost unless you did internal upgrades to handle it.

i think 4g63 and 4g64 parts are interchangable.
but this should help. I personally would rather have a spyder gs than a regular gs.

now you just have to buy a turbo kit and go!

Jroc the parts from a Spyder(4G64) and a Turbo Eclipse(4g63) are interchangeable. You can take the head off of a DOHC 4G63 and put it on a Spyder and the turbo components will also bolt right on. You can piece together a kit from a regular turbo eclipse. And dont forget the oil pan from a turbo eclipse (already has the oil lines) so you dont have to tap into your stock pan and risk not doing it right.
www.4G64.com as shown earlier is a great site for a parts list. Im in the process of pieceing together a turbo kit for a spyder GS. When its all said and done I will also post a parts list and pics. It should be done within a month. I just need an intercooler,BOV, & EBC. Then the time to do it all.(I been feeling lazy lately)

There is a well known DOHC head swap for 4g64s from the Galant GSX fropm the 90s. BUT please, if you live in California, THINK TWICE about turboing your 4g64. The guy who bought my old GS Spyder turboed it with a T3/T4 and was doing some pretty good numbers, BUT when he got pulled over and the cop saw that it was a GS and not a GST on the registration, he had to take the turbo kit off. Cost him $600 just to remove everything... CA is great for the weather but a pain in the ASS if you want to mod your car.

I'm also in the process on turbocharging my spyder gs. I have a 1gen head, intake manifold port and polished. Get this, I'm using a evo 8 manifold and turbo. I relocated the turbo 180 degrees. I'll have pics up soon.

I found a very usefull write up at http://www.4g64.com/users/raycer97/2g_parts.htm Hopefully I can get that done, Probaly go roam around the local junk yard and see if they have anything. Hopefully I dont screw up cause im a good for nothing kid with kno mechanic knowledge, and usally has bad luck with this stuff. Wish me luck.
After I do a head swap, Shouldnt doing the turbo kit be much easier

Honestly I don't think you will find a turbo in a junk yard. but like you said..maybe you'll find everything you need if youre lucky, maybe an oil pan, manifold etc.

if you got the money to get it done you could do it,,some of the parts might need custom work done to them ,,exspcially if you decide to go wit new headers and a new cat back,,

Just buy the manifold, o2 housing, intercooler, oil pan and piping used. You'll save more money buying a new turbocharger.
