hey, ok i know there are alot of free "mods" you can do to our cars, but everytime i hear about one i seem to hear something else saying that doing that mod is actually gonna make you lose power (dump tube hack, snokel cut out, cutting the top off of air filter box) but i have'nt heard anything bad yet about the bcs restrector removal mod, so does anyone have anything negative to say about doing this? just wanted to get some input before i did it and thought youd be the guys to ask

i remember when i bought my first dsm. a green gst that i got for half price... the first thing i did was find shit to mod that woudl cost little or nothing. i did all of hte free mods and my stock, wait i mean my "moddified stock" gst could still only beat a honda. not sure where im gettin at here... All the free mods are safe except a few like removing honeycombs from a 2g etc. THey dont add much power but are worth the time and effort because youll gain a better understanding about how all that shit works and how its put together. Bottom line is: remove the bcs and try to learn somethin while you do it.

when you do ad a boost controler removing the bcs will throw a wastegate malfunction code and turn your check engein light on. just leave it connected and bypass it.
