106 fuel problem

well my car is once again broken and ive only had it bak 2 seconds. got it from garage drove down the road and it ran out of petrol. did the old kangaroo down the road. then i filled it up it started did the kangeroo movement again then stalled and hasnt started since.

the car turns over but it doesnt start as if theres no fuel getting to it. the spark plugs, all were black as black which tells me that all the shite has gone into the engine and now the fuel line is blocked

does any1 now how to find out and sort this problem ie clear the fuel lines easily.

i really need help any1 help MR VEGAS?? thanks for looking anyways.

Hello,you say the car ran out of fuel and it feels like there is no fuel starting it?..running the car on empty can starve and damage the fuel pump,remove the fuel hose to the fuel rail and crank the engine,make sure you have the hose going into a container and check how much fuel you get...

I'm thinking your car is injected?and why did the vehicle go to the mechanics?..the reason your spark plugs are black is because your vehicle has been running rich..you should put another set in once you know there is fuel to the injectors...

hi there MR vegas god ivew had a time of it!! car went in coz the garage replaced the rear axel and then they FORGOT to tighten the brake hose to one of the rear drums so i was going down the road and tried to stop and had no BRAKES!!!! anyways i stripped the fuel system out and i changed the fuel pump and the fuel filter and it still didnt start. then i disconnected it at the carbarettor and blew down the pipes to make sure there wasnt anything blockin it!! then i changed the carbarettor from one of one of my other peugeots and it worked!! so i guess there is shite blocked the jets in the carbarettor!! i put the carbarettor that isnt workin and put a bit of fuel in the butterfly and it started any idea how to cleant he jets???

WOW! NO BRAKES!...your lucky,sorry i thought it was injected-yeah you should always check fuel supply to carb first...cleaning the jets is a delicate procedure best done with the carb totally stripped,but a quicker way(not as good) is to use a can of carb cleaner and spray down the barrells-keep in mind that this can ruin spark plugs,so do this before replacing plugs....if you do need to strip the carb and wan't to clean out the jets do it on a clean table.

also you'll need to set up the co's and idle of course once your done-good luck!
