I drive a cavy and I want more horsepower than it can think of giving me without selling my soul.

How hard is it to turbocharge a 2.5 RS 99 or in that area of year Impreza? How much boost can I safely run? How much horse is realistic? without wrecking shit to pieces?

Info would be GREATLY appreciated.

Pretty easy to turbo a 2.5 RS, but you might as well turbocharge your Cav. It would be cheaper than buying an RS and then turbocharging it. If you're just looking for daily-driver power, the turbocharged Cavalier will be just as worthy, too. www.twistecproducts.com can hook you up with a good turbo setup for your Cavalier.

If you're set on buying an RS and turbocharging it, go to NASIOC (www.nasioc.com) and do a search in the "2.5 Liter Technical" section.

Cavaliers are a BITCH to turbio and only run 6-8 psi safely. I want to really achieve over 300 horsepower. And I can sell my Cav for 3x more than I bought it for.

Why don't you supercharge the cav. is it a 4banger or 6cyl v-style? If its 6cyl why not just supercharge the cav? Like a jackson racing supercharger or a vortech set-up? Just wondering

Yes, but 6-8psi is a lot more than you think it is on a N/A based engine. The compression ratio is much better on that Cav engine.
