distributor problems wont start

i have an 1990 integra LS driven by an old lady with only 87,000km which was regularilry serviced by an acura dealership i owned the car for two days after installing a cold air intake it drove great with lots of power for several hours then herd squeeling sound from engine the rpm dropped to around 200 then died... i replaced the distributor but not the coil trying to save 80$ now engine will turn over but wont fire.. checkd all fuses, its getting fuel but spark plugs arnt always firin.... So plz help very i m hoping its the timing

You are probably going to have to replace the coil. You could however start by perhaps taking a voltimeter and making sure that the coil is getting power when turning over the engine.

okk hmm replaced my coil volt meter checked out good found out the car has an immobilizer, when i disconnect it i get no spark, when i connect it n push the button i get a random spark n not out of all plugs, n e one KNow anything about Steal stoppers alarms model 70
