Which boost controller

ok guys got a question for you, I cant decide which boost controller I want, have 3 in mind: hallman in cockpit manual boost controller, turbo smart gated in cockpit boost controller, or electronic boost controller (probably greddy profec). I want something that will hold high boost when i need it to and i have heard that electronic ones arent as good for high boost applications. Cost, not an issue :evillol: Ive been saving lol.

A i got dejontool one fore 50 bucks, but anything works fine, i thnkk the cockpit mounted ones are a waste of money, but thats my opinion

I have an ebay one I got for $15. It works fine, but since it's almost a year old, the adjuster bolt has begun to rust, making it hard to do fine adjustments. I think the in-cockpit mbcs are a waste of money as well--might as well go with a profec if you are going to spend that much.

Thanks guys, Ive been looking around a little more and I think I have found the one! Its the greddy type s electronic boost controller ( i think thats what its called) It said that the heavier duty solenoid will hold 40 psi so that solves the problem of the electronic ones being inacurate at high boost. Also its a nice looking piece and costs about the same as the profec (I think). Anyway thats what I am leaning towards right now, let me know what ya think! :biggrin:

i also have a ebay $10 manual boost gauge. it works great for what i need it to be.

it all depends on your application. with a stock turbo there is no need to spend the $ on an electric one. even on a small 16g its just not cost effecent. the larger the turbo and more suficticated your setup becomes you start understaning the need of having quality parts.

its your $. you deffently cant go wrong with electric.

I bought a Greddy Profec-b off of ebay for $250. I've been using it for over a year now, and it works great. This is not the new digital version, either, the nice analog controller.

Currently, it runs 9psi off, 14psi on low, and 18-20psi on high.
