Gauge installation question

I was waondering if there's somewhere else to hook up my gauges. I have a 1998 Neon R/T I'm hooking up an oil pressure gauge and a voltmeter gauge. The direstions say to hook it up to the ignition box but I was wondering if there is somewhere easier to set it up. I'd like not to mess with all those wires but I would also like the gauges to work just like they would on the iginition box. When the car is started uo the gauges will go on.

This might not help you, but I'll post anyways. I hooked up an oil pressure & voltmeter on my 2000 Neon. Basically you have to find a wire that's hot in ACC and RUN for the voltmeter. Example: blue with white stripe, coming out of the fuse box under the hood in that huge cluster of wires. For the lighting, I popped the dash off, pulled the instrument cluster, and tapped into one of the wires that make up the socket where the cluster plugs into. I'd suggest picking up a Haynes manual for your car if ya don't have one, it has all the wiring diagrams in the back.
