Close call

I was driving down route 10 around 10-11pm last monday night with my girlfriend coming home from the movies and there was like...no cars on the road and it was a straight road so I decided to go really fast for her because she enjoys it. I took it up to 135ish and was nearing the end of 4th gear so I shifted 5th early..not wanting to continue in 5th I just let off. I began to brake when I passed under this bridge. My girlfriend immediately shouted LOOK! SLOW DOWN! and on the right side with his lights off was a state trooper just sitting there watching me go by at 70+mph in a 55 zone. After I passed by I stared in my rearview mirror waiting for his lights to come on after me. And to my surprise..he didn't. So we both started laughing and I was like "Man, I'm laying low now". I don't think my adrenaline went down the whole night. I talked about it all night until I fell asleep. She said I even talked about it some in my sleep. Haha.

nice, 135 is a good run. cops are soft...lol. u were lucky as hell on that one.

Girlfriends for some reason always make the best cop watch.

Most of the time here in S-ville, you go by a cop on the side of the road going atleast 80 they won't bother. Most of them just sleep in their cars. It's great. That's your tax dollars at work for ya. L8...

My girlfriend said he stared at me go by..he just didn't do anything. Woo tax dollars. Supporting indians and cops! My favorite.

lol ive done that a few times before...one time my best friend was followin me when i had my old car and we flew by a cop sittin on the side of the road goin like 85ish in a 65 and we were like passin traffic and we both have loud exhausts...my boy called me n was like "we just went by a cop at like 20 over" and the cop didn't do shit...lol

but yeah...i hate that sinkin feeling in ur stomach when u see the cop...lol

Most on my Rez drive Escalades, Tahoes, and New Chevy's and Fords. Seeing that they don't have to pay for anything other than the gas and electric bill, they have plenty to spend. What the hell am I doing here in Utah? L8...

thats lucky man, one time i was driving on I75, doing about 105MPH in a 75MPH and i flew past a cop sitting in the middle. Luckily their was a wall of traffic behind me to prevent him from pulling out after me. Thank god for 4th of july traffic

that's funny. When i did gymnastics 50 miles away from my house my mom would go like 120 in our van down the highway while multitasking (looking for stuff, getting something for the lil bro stuff like that) with her eyes off the road. lol. so id alwas watch the road and watch for cops

uhhh your mom is pathetic and has no regard for the lives of her two children. wow. that's sad. Sure, you can say I endangered my girlfriends life...but she's old enough to make her own decision as to whether or not she wants to be in a vehicle going at those rates of speed. Not to mention it was late at night, no traffic, perfect stretch of highway, etc.

Similiar thing happend to me Yesterday, I was going 60 on a 40 and this cop was sitting in a school parkinglot where the opening is and he just sat there, I saw him look at me go by too, too bad all cops aint either this stupid or nice.

That stuffs happened to me way to often, gonna give me a heart attack one of these days.

i guess im lucky to be driving an astro van for the time bieng, i just cruise at like 60-65 in a 45. driving be cops all the time...they seem not to see me.
