spark plug question

Whats up guys, I got a quick question for ya. I bought some new ngk plugs on ebay for the gsx a week ago and insatlled them 2 days ago. Anyway I remove the first plug and grab the new one, then sumthin catches my eye, the new plugs only have one little metal post at the end of the plug while my old ones had two? Im like wtf? Anyway i figure it cant hurt and install the plugs just to see what happens, the car runs just fine. Im just wondering if there is a problem with what i have installed. thanks guys, peace.

First if all, you need to list your car with a quick mod list, if any. Include your year make and model. It would also help a lot more if you told us exactly what type of NGK's you bought. I am going to assume BPR6ES. If so, they will work fine, provided you have a turbo car.

Its a 95 but as i stated in my post its a gsx. The year is not that important as well since they all have the 4g63t. Ill try to find the box they came in ireally dont feel like taking one out of my engine, (rainin). Ill work on my sig but i dont think that info will help much. Peace

Sorry I didn't see that you said gsx. Your absolutely right that the year does not matter. It should say on the box which types they are. You don't need to go digging under your hood or anything. Actually, it may be easier to just go back to the site where you won the auction, it should say there.

The year does matter. 1G plugs were the typical NGKs, while 2G stock plugs had multiple ground electrodes, which would completely explain the situation. ;) Year make and model in the sig please, thanks guys.

Thanks man i think i fixed my sig lol, will the plugs still work though?

Sorry for saying that the year doesn't matter, apparently it does. Any, you should be fine, but if you could tell us which types you bought or link us to the auction it would help. I am sure that 1g and 2g spark plugs can be switched out.

1g and 2g plugs are interchangeable. I prefer the typical 1g NGKs over the 2g style plug.
