I am bringing my truck up to my house that is carberated. Its coming from like 17 sea level up to 4000 sea level. I know you have to adjust the carb and retard the timing when it changes elevation but how long does it take to finally adjust, As in i know that right when you get there its not all of a sudden going to change but how many hrs or days will it take to finally kick in and therfore ill have to adjust it.
I just dont want it to like overload on me in like a week when im driving around.
Also, Any tips on how to tell that stuff?
thanx

What carb.? You need to lean it out some. Feedback carbs. can react more slowly, but the jetting still needs to be adjusted. A web search for your carb. may help. Local shops could also be a good source of info.
