Brake Light indicator on very dim

I have a 95 Aerostar and the red brake indicator comes on at times very dim. After I cleaned the contacts at the brake fluid res. It went away.
Does anyone know if the wiring that attaches to the resevor could cause this problem

Does anyone know if the wiring that attaches to the resevor could cause this problem If you cleaned the contacts and it solved your problem (even if only momentarily), it is possible that a thorough cleaning may be necessary (use sandpaper or a flat blade screwdriver to scrap away any rust or corrosion).
