I want to lower my car, but not drasticly. I have a civic and am wondering which is better to purchase, the pro-kit or a ractive coilover. I checked the price and found out the coilover is less. Which is better? Is the ractive coilover not a true "coilover"?

Do you have them on your car? Didnt think so. So dont say anything unless you own them...then you can say they are junk. Mine work perfectly fine in my CRX.

ractive are NOT true coilovers and if you dont NEED the adjustability then i would deffinatly recommend springs such as prokit or sportline. Coilovers generally give you a bouncier ride than most lowering springs, it all depends on the shocks you use and how picky you are about the comfort of your ride. I have sportline and Koni Yellows.

I'd say get the springs over the coilovers, had both and enjoy the Sportline springs....

Is the bouncier ride that bad? Is there any other downside to the ractive coilovers? The main reason I am interested in them is that they can be adjusted and are very inexpensive.

well I personally couldn't stand it, round where I live the roads are shit and I just had to opt out on them. BUT if your getting them to be able to adjust them then do it, but if your looking to buy them cause of price i can get you some others for 110 plus shipping....

please don't use pro-kit (eibach) in the same sentence as Ractive......ractive is junk, why do you think that they are the cheapest?

Can someone please explain why ractive is "junk". I'm getting mixed answers. Please be honest, any detailed comments are greatly appreciated. Also, I though Eurolite was a good company, they also make ractive, is this right? Forgive me for my lack of knowledge.

Hey tsunami, with yur hatch do you need a camber kit? im getting koni yellows very soon and some springs, as soon as i decide between pro kit and sportlines, the main thing im concerned about is having to get another expensive item ( a camber kit)

i think that the coilovers i have are worse than ractive. i have maxspeed, the ride is hella bouncy but u kinda get used to it. im plannin on getting springs. i think that if u want coilovers, go for ground controls. thats just my opinion.
