getting a title

okay here is what is up. my friend gave me the car and he lost the title and he is needing to send in a lost title to the virgina dmv but nothing seems to happen i dont think he ever gave his dad the app but anyway i was wondering if there was any other way to get a title? i live in oklahoma and the car was last taged in virgina and the title was for a virgina car. any ideas?

You can try and look here, go to carfax.com and get a vehicle history report to verify the last registration state.
Basically there is not alot you can do without the last owners help, there could be bank leins on the title that only he can remove and you need his signature to get anything done.
Give him the car back until he gets a new title.

well you could go to a junk yard and buy a title and a new id code from them and put on your but that isnt legal if it was me i would give the car back because if a bank has the title you can get in trouble over it trust me
