1995 jimmy slt 4wd problems!

i can not get my 4wd out,it will not go into 2h.i can hear it trying to shift but only the buttons will make a noise and i can see some kind of oil but it does not smell like your reg oil.I went under and pulled a plug on the passenger side but it did not make any diff! can anyone help? :banghead: thx scott.

Well you probably dont need my info anymore but for future reference, if you get it stuck in 4wd hi or lo again try this: start truck, put truck in Neutral, push 2wd and while the switch is flashing put truck in Park. As long as your encoder motor is still good, this should take you out of 4wd. You can put it in 4wd this way too.
