After parking car night before last, running fine. I went out next morning and all i got was a crank/no fire situation. Found in the under hood fuse box a blown IGN fuse, replaced it and still no start (oh, did veryfy it wasnt getting gas thru injector) popped out the fuel pump relay, stuck in another, car started right up.Still running now.
My question is if anyone knows, could the bown fuse and bad relay be interconnected ? meaning like relay went bad and blew the fuse? just kind of strange if they are not.

Could be, if the relay shorted internally and was drawing too much amperage through the ignition circuit. I'd like to have that relay in my hands and check it with an ohmeter, then I could tell you for sure.

I still have the relay, but my Dvom crapped out and will be ahile before i get another. Car is still starting and running ok other than that lockup crap its doing.
Man i hate computer controlled cars, us poor people just arent meant to drive these things.. I have a 1978 F 150 4x4 i am rebuilding, and soon as i get a new engine in it it will be done.. Tho it does have electronic Ign, least it has no brain... And i can rebuild a 2500 carb with my eyes shut.
And if my tranny acts up, least i know its the modulator or tranny itself.
I grew up in late 60's to late 70's cars, and all the problems were mainly rust, not drivetrain, now its just the oppsite...How i wish i still had my 71 Charger, or 71 Demon with a 340 cu in. Or my trusty 75 Bronco on 33's.. Hell id settle for my old 64 Ramber American with vac. wipers! LOL (or my German built Capri)

I'd love to have one of those old Capris. They were fun to drive. Good torque from that little 2.3 V6. Smallest V6 ever built, I think. Gear drive cam. Great idea! Hate timing belts.
