Vision K2

Some of you will have seen and read about the Vision K2. A white so-called american supercar. Designed already in 1998. Since then, I have heard nothing about it and I had categorised it as a nice-try-but-not-nice-enough project. You get that a lot with those supercar projects.

Anyway, I came across some pictures of the Los Angeles Motor Show of this year and couldn't identify it. After some asking around, someone suggested it could be a Vision K2. And then I did some google-ing and found the following site.

I was happy to find this out, to see they had further developed (?) the car and all. And I like it, it's not a monstruosity, it's kinda nice. and supposedly with a BMW v12.

Anyways, I'm posting this thread to ask if any of you can tell me more about what is going on with this Vision K2? Is that even it's name still? Is this the only and first time this model comes out? or has it been flocking all car shows since 1998, in some backend boot?
Anybody living in Cali, Mar Vista and has seen the car on the road? Or has seen the Vision Industries building? If you go to their site
