Your car would get walked all over by that eclipse. The GT's have V6's if i am correct. They beat me in the long run....Its about neck to neck until 3rd then they walk away. But with you having a 1.6 non vtec motor, you don't even stand a chance. Not trying to be negative, but the only hope for you is forced induction. But you can still look him in the face and say, at least mine will own you on the twisty's :) Do a little suspension work and take it to the track, even with him having more pwere, you can more than make up for it in the corners. I like track racing better than straight line anyhow.

Your buddy will walk away from you prety bad. I have the same car you do and I get beat all the time. If you want to beat him I would say go with an LS turbo set up. Or just be happy knowing that your car is better looking, and more fun to drive.

andrew... you mean 1.5L non VTEC.... S models didn't go 1.6 till 96. ;)
but yeah... the reason performance people get S models is because they can drop in a GSR block and only be payin $20 a month insurance :D

E-racing threads are badddd and you'll get whooped

Thats right 94solgrl, i forgot all about that. That makes the chances even worse for him.

What do you guys think about the jackson racing supercharger? is it worth the money and if i get that aftermarket exhaust and cold air think i could say mines faster? at the track?

i just thought of what one of you said would it be better to do the jackson racing mentioned above or do a engine swap and if so which one and how much will it take from my wallet. and thanks to everyone that replied.

For the same price of the JR charger, you could do a B16 swap and still make more power. Well at least more "fun" power. JR chargers are really a waste of money if you ask me. I mean don't get me wrong, they have great throttle response and i'm sure are fun as hell for an average everyday street car. Strong, reliable, and always there power is what to escpect from a JR charger. I think the JR unit would be perfect for my girlfriends car (no offence 94solgrl). She is the kinda person that would like that little extra power to add a little fun to the drive. But if you want real power, the only way to go is turbo. So throw a b16 or b18 in there, add a turbo and spank that ass.
Oh yeah...the JR unit is affected by heat really bad, something that is generated very plentiful at the track.
