BMW Preformance?

Im thinking of buying a BMW in the futre, proably the 3.0L engine. And I was searching the web, and other than a few exhausts at over $400 (not pipes, just mufflers) I couldn't find any prefromance parts. Is that just something that BMW people don't do? I really love the cars though. my dad has a 325i witht eh sports and premium pakcages (2.5L engine) and my borhter has a stip down 325i with auto. I really love them a lot (both are 2005)

I agree with drumstick there isn't a lot out there that anyone whose in the middle class income level can afford for performance parts on a BMW. Granted it's already a luxury to drive such a piece of art, but what about the times when you just need to let loose and leave some rubber at a light? If anyone has any ideas of what is affordable when it comes to performance mods I would also be interested.

The BMW 3 sereis (atleast with the little engine) are a little underpowered, they have a really good high range, once you hit about 5500 rpm they fly but they are so low on torque I really can't leave any rubber on the road. I'be turned off the stability, and still its little diffrence, the wheels seem to catch grip before anything happens. Also if you do use stabilty, it really slows you down if you skid even a little on a turn, I'd be real nice to have a little extra power. of course I'd spring for the 225hp version, of coursde by theyn the 2006 will have 250hp, but then it will be out of my price range, so maybe I will get a deal on an 05.
Well that stuff is really really pricy, $500 for an ECU Chip? those things cost $100 for any other car, but then again a bmw isn't any other car. The stuff is a lot more and not really worth it. most fo that stuff costs $100's of dollars and its going to give you maybe 10 extra HP, a 5% gain for $350? thats a little steep. I'd probably just be cheaper to buy a strip down m3, but then, you have insurance.

You have to remember . . . it's a BMW not a piece of Rice ! ! !
If you want to mod it . . there's gonna be a price to pay.
5, 10,15hp's . . it all adds up . . . if you want a lot more Hp's . . go cams . . . supercharger . . but in the end . . it's all about the money ! ! !

i now relize that, i guess BMW is really for the elite. And when I said most cars, I was thinking about mustangs, sure they are a piece of crap, but you could get 400hp pretty easily. Im not sure what to think anymore, but in the end, I'll probably still buy a BMW. I guess if you want these things to be fast you should save you pennies for an M3.
