ok so here's my deal... i have a totaled 93 prelude si sittin in my back yard that i'm keeping for parts. i drive a 94 prelude vtec. i've been thinking about puting my h22 vtec head on my h23 motor and dropping it in my vtec body, and i've heard some good things about puting the vtec head on the h23 motor, but i was wondering if there was anything else i need to know about it. like if i need new internals or anything like that... and in the next 3 months, i plan on slapping a big fat turbo on it... so keep that in mind.

if your going turbo, you should get some stronger internals. a "frankenstein" turns out good for some people, but others hav endless problems with them. do a search for H22 swap or frankstein swap on the prelude and Nonspecific forums. i remember seeing something about this there too

if you are going to boost your car, it would be a waste of time and money to do the conversion.

save your unmolested h22 for turbo. good luck with the turbo slap..

i dont know all the problems but i know there sometimes are with the ECU and IAC, might make the engine rpms bounce around at idle.
