My friend has a 90' formula firebird hes giving to me for $3000.
Im interested in buying it but I havent seen it yet.
So the question is, are there seats in the back? I know it seems sort of silly but I was looking at some pictures of the firebird and alot of them look like there is no room for back seats.
sorry for stupid question

Yeah, it's got back seats. Not the most spacious though, but it's got em.

It's possible the back seats were folded down or removed altogether. They do fold down and they also are easy to remove from the car.

my best friend only weighs about 140 pounds and he has a hell of a time sitting in my backseat.. so i wouldnt really call it a backseat.. lol. definately not a commuter car..

Hmmm I guess I will have to test it out myself.
I know this might be a little crazy but is there anyway to make more legroom in the back?

not really.. you can scoot the front seats forward, but that eliminates legroom in the front.. its kindof a lose-lose situation with the backseats being that small.

yeah one can get more leg room in the back tell your backseat passengers to sit across the seat and stack legs.HAHAHAHAHA. those seats where only in there as a favor to us have you ever seen the insurance on the corvette, that is what we would pay if they weren't in there. it would be strictly a sports car and insurance would be higher.

LOL! I have a name for those seats... Ho seats... cuz you shove the Hos back there cuz the seats suck so much.... but there's enough room, I traveled 400 miles w/ 4 people in my car and luggage so don't say it can't happen

My record is five people, I had to drive home after work. three in the back. The two were in the seats and the third laid out across them. It was just a wee bit tight. Didn't have to take the tops off though.

The back seats are only there for insurance reasons...much less costly to insure a 4-seater versus a 2-seater, at least in Delaware.

I had 5 people in my firebird, and let me tell you thats NEVER happening again. Total combined weight was ABOUT 1200 lbs. Obviously 2 in the front, and in the back, 2 in the seats, and one on the hump. The 5th guy on the hump had a sore ass after that ride. Every bump we hit we heard a loud clunk. I almost kicked everyone out right there on the highway.

Yeah, I'm 18 and have a V6, and it's running me $217 a month with Allstate. It sucks.

it also depends on if you have any tickets my husband is 45 and it was costing us 3,000.00 every six months and that was in 91 with one ticket. needless to say the car was sold and we bought olders ones . all together we have had 6 . right now we have a 79 trans am and a 2001 firebird and insurance is 268.00 and we both are in are upper 40's . so with being 17 i would say it is gonna be extremely high . good luck we have state farm if anyone needs to know

i have called around and state farm is the cheapest i have found. used to have farm bureau and wow talk about high. call around and see the difference .how far do you drive? if you only drive as "pleasure" then you also get a cheaper rate also.
good luck

it will vary state to state. You best bet is to call around and do lie about the amount of miles you put on it. The lower the better what they don't know won't hurt them!

it varies state to state just call around. tell them you only drive a short distance it will save you money.
