Not fast? Miata is a roadster sports car with the higher specs in the same class as porsche, mr2, tt and a few others. I will tell you, it is underpowered at stock, but once the upgrades are in, you are punching back babi.
I currently have a 1995, 1.8L 136hp at 7000rpm stock thats 60hp under the z3 off the floor :(, after all the upgrades, including turbo, exhaust system, fuel/cooling, electrical and nos. it dyno'd at 214 at 7000rpm, 223 7500rpm at full 5sec nos, with a top speed at about 162-163mph, which set my back about 4K$, i still need to upgrade the suspension and chassie more.
the only thing owning me is a few friends who own a corvette, viper and a porsche 911 and they where not stock modded.
