Anyone here Beadblasting?

Anyone know what blasting media I should use to clean intake manifold exhaust manifold and valve cover and such before I powder coat it?

i would think a media blasting would work without scratching it or putting groves into it.

I couldn't agree with you more, BUT what kinda of media blasting? Walnut, Sand, Glass beads, Plastic beads, What grit? 20, 80, 200, 300 I mean there are alot of options. I'm thinking about Glass bead I have about decided that is the propper one to use

sand won't be enough i can tell you that. you'll need something like glass i would think.. low grit too. take a look at the manifold and think logically what grit would be best but its gonna have to be some tough shit.. its basically one of the toughest surfaces to blast
