93 Sil stalling driving me nuts

I have a problem with my van stalling at random times. It doesnt skip just quits when it feels like it. Then it doesnt want to start back up. If I let it sit a while it starts back up. Sometimes it will go weeks without stalling. Then it might do it 5 times in a week. usually on longer trips. I let a garage look at it and they couldnt get it to stall for them. The plug wires were real bad so i changed them. Havent had to chance to drive it since then cuz the starter is smoked. What could possibly be the problem? It might be the crank sensor but no codes are thrown and I dont want the pull the balancer off for nothing. If anyone can, please help!

I changed the starter and checked the van when it stalled, no spark, no fuel injector pulse. Thought it was the computer or crank sensor. changed the computer and it stalled again. I dont wanna put more money into it not being sure it is the crank sensor. Anyone with suggestions?
