i am going to be using a dual fan setup of of an lt1 f-body
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/138932dualfanslt1-med.JPG
started mounting up the rest of my exhaust, the big 3inch tubes run real close to my ebrake cable so i had to heat wrap it

ya the lt1 4th gens all came stock with the dual fans, but my old 305 tbi had a single fan setup, i don't think that would cut it, so i got that one right there off of ebay

lol i appreciate that, i just figured you guys wouldn't mind being able to follow what i am doing, so i try to take the time to keep u guys on the same page as me. and ya if anyone wants to put all my posts together and study them i would love that, cuz then i'd be helping another f-body ethusiast get to the point where he can woop up on expensive cars :evillol:
i got my radiator on ebay, it was brand new from a radiator company i had never heard of before... at first i was kind of worried but after actually seeing the radiator i'm not in the least dissappointed.
give me a minute i'll see if i can find you one on ebay, i believe these guys put up another radiator periodically...

I don't remember if you said so or not, but are you changing the wheels or no? Also, are you keeping the stock spoiler or are you looking into the high rise style from the Z28's of that year?

i'm eventually gonna get some 17' wheels (haven't decided what kind) because i'm gonna upgrade to a baer brake system, i'm going to make my car a road race type setup. i'm gonna keep the spoiler i've got, i actually like it better than the high rise...

i can see some ZR-1 wheels or Black Z06 wheels on your car.
drvngstorm05
02-28-2005, 12:25 AM
lol those are the kind of wheels i've been lookin at... i can't find a good deal on black z06's tho... i've found some pretty awesome deals on zr1's tho... were u thinkin black or regular zr1's?
Genopsyde
02-28-2005, 12:29 AM
regular, the "hyper black" ones that slp makes would be ideal. They're not black, just a darker silver.
drvngstorm05

i would really like to have the hyperblacks but they are much more expensive than the deals i've found for either regular or the black kind...

black ZR1's would be tight as hell on your car!!! I'm getting silver ZR1's for mine... should be in the mail right now.
Anyway, can you post some pics of your exhaust? It's true duals right? Mandrel bent? I've got everything planned out for my car excecpt the exhaust. As soon as I drop the engine in there I'll have to put something on it. I was think dual 2.5" or 3". How did you do yours and where did you get the parts?

unless you run the pipes under the subframes you can't run TRUE duals, i have a flowmaster 3in american thunder with dual exits. i've heard true duals isn't really worth the trouble anyway, my friend has true duals on his third gen and he always has to worry bout scrapping going over bumps because of how low they are...
i'll get pics when i get a chance...
