as soon as the warmer weather comes my way i'm going to drain my tranny fluid. its a stock t-5 rebuilt about 2 years ago and i wanna get Royal Purple Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid 10W. i was just wondering if that would be good to change to, or is there something better for the t-5? thanks.

I've heard GM Synchromesh is good to use. I'm actually wondering the same thing for my new WC T5, me being new to this whole manual tranny thing after having autos for so many years.

in a t5 world class you are supposed to use automatic transmisson fluid instead of manual transmission gear oil because auto fluid makes the synchsizers work and last longer

Do you have proof this statment is true? I have never heard that before, not to say you are wrong, because we all know the T5 is suppose to have Auto Trans Fluid, but I was never told why.

i heard, use a few ounces of friction modifyer and mobil 1 atf, it works and will help old synchros bite a little better... as of now this is hearsay, i'm planning on trying it, i'll let ya know how it goes.
