Haven't posted in a while, here's two recent projects.
The first could use a little more detailing, but that's how it was requested.

And another project:

Very nice! The reflections look great on both.

btw, on the second rendering, do people actually put those wheels on the newer stangs? I thought those were muscle car rims

Thanks, I got some good ideas here for doing reflections.

Yes, the 03 and 04 Mach 1 Mustang uses this modern version of the "Magnum 500" wheel as factory equipment.

cool Blip!

Windows look great!

Still might want to try a deeper dark in recessed araeas, and like Jeri told me..."don't be afraid to use white"

Great angles, very clean.

Thanks Lemorris.

I used some of your work and Tedder's designs, as a guide in doing the window reflections.

To make sure I learn from your comments, you mean darken areas like the lower body panels where they bend out of sight?

And for using white, I guess I should make some "digital gouache" highlight marks on fenders and wheels?

yep...that's it. It'll give it more depth and make it pop even more.

I like them a lot though as they are.

Hey Blip,

Hope you don't mind but I rendered on your toon to illustrate what I was talkin about.

http://www.58vw.com/af/bliptoon.jpg

I just selected a few areas in Photoshop and used the dodge and burn tools to add some deeper darks and some hotter whites, then I did a quick levels on the whole thing. In your vector program see if you can add a mask or blend over a base color. This will allow you to duplicate this effect.

Once again I really dig your work, just thought I'd share.

Lemorris,

Thanks--I really like the overall effect. Makes the body seem more metalic and it added depth to the image.
I got to see if I can create that effect in my Expression 3 vector program.
