while driving the truck most times all is fine, but about once a month or more when pressing on the brake or slowing down, the engine will start
lopping jerking like if you need to push in the clutch THIS IS AN AUTO TRANS. i have taken the truck to several diff. dealerships they cannot fine problem no the truck is out of warranty. can somebody please help me resolve this problem. thank you.

Not sure on yours but, [if equipped] torque convertor clutch solenoid.Don't know if you have overdrive or not.

i am not sure it just has 1, 2, drive. i spoke to a mech.
and he said maybe it could be the computer ?
but he did say he had never heard of this problem.
its a 2001 w/ 35,000 miles its driving me crazy.
help! help!

so, what was the final outcome for your truck...my 99 f150 4x4 5.4l just started doing the exact same thing...very odd...please advise.

Sounds like the locking converter isnt unlocking when the brakes are applied, as it should. HOWEVER before spending big bucks on this check the switches mounted by the brake pedal and make sure they arent out of adjustment. There is also a solenoid for this feature. get it checked too.
