There should be a local trailer shop near you that will do installations. U-Haul does them, too. I've heard, though, that the AWD system isn't comfortable hauling things. I don't suppose a light trailer would kill it, though.

Since a tow hitch mount was a standard option on the Impreza since who-knows-when, I am sure with a bit of searching you could find one.

I put one on my wife's forrester before. Got a pretty nice brand for about $100. Easy installation, no drilling or anything, that took about an hour. You should be able to find several sites on the web that'd sell them.

how did it install with no drilling and still haul anything?

Forester/Impreza frame already has pre-drilled holes in them...now that i recall, I may have taken out tow hooks from the back and screwed the hitch into those holes. You do have to bolt them into the frame, but what I meant is that you don't have to drill/tap any holes into the frames, they are already there.

Nah... I don't haul stuff with the Impreza. That's what the Saturn is for. Impreza = toy, Saturn = workhorse (small, weak workhorse, but workhorse nonetheless)

We had a Saturn SL2 which was supposed to be a relatively "sweet" Saturn. Felt like a piece of plastic and very weak, haha.

meh, max horsepower for a Saturn of that era was 100hp stock at the flywheel, so you're not going to get a "strong" Saturn. They do get 40mpg, though, and mine has never broken anything that wasn't my fault, so I can't complain about them at all.

How visible is the trailer hitch when not in use, and how easy is it to add/remove? I like that they offer a bike rack that slides into the trailer hitch, but I wouldn't want the hitch on my car all the time if it's really visible.
