ss hood

does anyone have a clue where i could find the vent for the inside of the ss hood? i just put the hood on 2 days ago and i knew something wasnt all together. without the vent it looks a bit off. any help would be welcome.(john this is where i see u coming in with some link for me to go to) because u know where everything is. lol

ok gald u came in here, the inside of the scoop, its a black piece that looks like its honeyconed shaped.

are you talking about the vent cover piece for the scoop on the outside of your hood or are you talking about a part for your Ram Air Intake?

yeah that part i need one do u have a clue where i could get one besides the dealership. they wanted 78 bucks for it

well the vent piece on mine is silver.... i think you can buy one from rksport for around $50......

btw where did you get your hood from? Because my hood came with both the vent piece and the new low pressure cylenders straight from the factory at no extra charge.....

a place called glasstech, it came recomended from a guy in my club, the hood looks great but it just seems a bit off without the vent.

I love the SS hood. And ur car is black so its gonna be the shit. It will look crazy mean with the RS ground effects to.

i hope so im also looking into some type of painted race stripes(red) im just looking for a unique way of putting them on so it stands out

i think the SS hood will look sweet on a black car. and philly, i personally dont think it would look good with stripes. it's really hard to make a black car look good with any type of striping, unless its a chrome or bright colored stripe. just my :2cents:

it will be bright ass chevy red... the car is black with red badges so the strips need to match ill try my best to do it verry tastful so it doesnt look silly, guess ill have to wait and see how it looks

make sure you want them stripes because you can't unpaint them, i would suggest vinyl.

worst thing about vinyl.. it fades in time.. if your car is gonna see a lot of sun, you're not gonna want vinyl stripes... IMO.. i've seen red and black stripes on a 4th gen before, didnt look bad when the car was red with black.. but i didnt like it much when the car was black with red. again, just my opinion.. sounds cool either way.
