When people do Mini-me's or swap in sohc vtec motors alot of people go the cheap route of buying a vtec controller and just controlling vtec that way and running off a pm6 most of the time. I have done it and let me tell you it was very slow.
If you want a single cam vtec I would highly recommend saving alittle more and converting to OBDI and buying a P28 because it would run a whole hell of alot better than if it just ran off a vtec controller or switch.

i would just get toggle vtec =). Friend of mine has it and its awesome. That way you can not use it sto save gas and you can activate it at anytime.

you know ive been thinking about this and one reason i thought up was that because your pm6 ecu doesnt have the mapping for vtec when you put it on a switch the ecu doesnt give it the fuel required so it runs lean in vtec and you dont get the full power from it

awesome is not the word that your looking for.
More like cheap and runs worse than it should.

Check on Honda-tech, you can usually pick up conversion harnesses for 110$ or so shipped and ecu's im not even sure how much P28's are going for these days.
Check on ebay also.

No with vafc you can make it so it corrects itself to add more fuel.... But yep exactly what he said. pm6=makes the swap not worth it!!!!
P28's usually go for about 100-150 bucks these days unless you get a deal somewhere else.

i wasnt talking about the vafc when i made that statement, it was about vtecs that are push button or switched or msd activated.
vafc can add fuel but you dont know how much fuel to add to make it perfect, thats the only problem

oh sorry misunderstood what you said then. But your right on that too. The only way to tell is to get it dynoed and tune it with your A/f ratio...
