2000 Jimmy oil cooler lines

I just bought a 2000 Jimmy 4x4. There are leaks from the oil cooler lines at the remote filter housing. Is this a common issue, and if so, what is the preferred fix?

Thanks!

I had manufactured my own flex lines to replace the rubber section of the stock lines. I got tired of them leaking and I havn't had a problem since.

did you remove the adapters and have someone fit new lines to them?

Almost all of them leak a little, most people just ignore it until it gets bad, then replace the lines.

Local parts stores don't carry them, you have to order them or get them from the dealer. The dealer is expensive. You can order them from rockauto.com pretty cheap. I give more info about it in the post:

Local auto parts stores do now have them, I got mine at NAPA. Seems to be of better quality than OE.

Which ones did you replace? How much were they?

They must have just got them, because nobody carried them when I bought mine about three weeks ago.

Did them last fall.

Hope that works.

I got a replacement set at Advance Auto parts, for $49 for the oil cooler hose and $30 for the filter adapter hose. Installation was a pain running the back hose between the engine and frame, but it got through eventually.

The hoses were branded "OE concepts" and were identical to OEM.

I spent an hour cleaning and degreasing everything and I'm happy to report no leaks at all.

If they are just sweating a little bit of oil, don't worry about it.

Even the new replacements will do it.
