Why doesn't someone make some classical techno remixes?

I'd listen to it. So get on it. Beethoven's 5th could use a makeover.

I actually have a techno mix of B's fifth. I don't listen to much techno, but I trade tracks with my cousin and she had it.

There are heaps of DJs doing it. Listen to:

listening to it right now... not exactly what I'm looking for. This is more trance than anything else. I don't really recognize anything classical about it.

Didn't it already get a makeover as a disco hit in the mid '70s? LOL j/k That would be cool as a techno remix though( the original.)

Ya, ELO did a 5th symphony remix a looong time ago.
Try google, I know of a bunch of remixed symphonies, but I cant remember the artists.

For the hell of it I looked in my collection of music and came across "A Fifth of Beethoven" by Walter Murphy & the Big Apple Band from 1976.It's on cd but I'm sure I have it on 33rpm record somewhere. I remember when that song first came out it was like "Wow check it out, somebody redid this old song!" LOL

A LOT of dance music is inspired by classical - they are very closely linked generes. For something with a bit more oomph, try:
Theme From Ignashov

Kind of makes you wonder if the composers are "turning over" or "dancing" in their graves when they hear their piece has inspired some dance music.

William Orbit- Pieces in a Modern Style
Reviews were pretty varied on this one. Some thought it was crap, others loved it. It's not so much the high BPM bangin club sound that you're probably thinking about, but more ambient and relaxed. I haven't heard it myself, but it sounds interesting and that's the closest thing I can think of to what you're asking about...

I really want to post my opinion of them but I really shouldn't.
